Fully Persuaded

And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.     Romans 4:21

I have been fully persuaded completely by the Lord that there is NOTHING a human can do to not only enter the kingdom of God (the Son of His Love), keep himself there, or even to grow in the spirit of His Son EXCEPT through LOOKING at Jesus Christ, keeping faith in HIM, God’s promise, 

God’s work in us, and the like.

I have been fully persuaded too that when God said that Christ is the end of the law (any system invented by man or following a system of sacrifice of the Old Testament to make oneself forgiven, holy, righteous, complete, etc.) He means it.  We are married to ANOTHER – HIM – Christ in us.  (Romans 7)

I am also fully persuaded that the LIFE of JESUS CHRIST in us is what we are to trust in at all times for ALL of our salvation and growth, from beginning to end.

There are many teachings out there today – many. I’m sure most of us have heard over 1,000 sermons in our lifetime if we’ve been a Christian a long time.

I’m knocking sermons and as some of them have been wonderful.

What is a great relief is when a soul decides they are going to cry out to God for the illumination they need to understand HOW the Christian life is truly lived.  This is usually preceded by a lot of frustration and failure either of a big nature or daily basis in some measure.

We fail on a daily basis because we have not learned the marvelous “habit” of looking to our Lord and Savior as the life and ability we need at all times – whether it’s to love, or bear that marvelous fruit of Spirit, to “hear” God’s Word the way He wrote it, and all the like.

Christ has truly performed AND finished HIS work.  It’s His work that I entered and got saved by – we all believe that.  But it’s ALSO HIM and HIS WORK that I LIVE and WALK by too.  The Spirit of God teaches us this if we’ll let Him.

I don’t know about you, but I am convinced – like Abraham – fully persuaded that this God who came to dwell in my heart through His Son’s Spirit is going to finish the work HE started and get me home safely.  Now I’m not fully satisfied with all my performance but God has invited us to live a life of faith – again, looking to Him for all we need to be.

He said these words too:

“Now may the God of peace HIMSELF sanctify YOU entirely and present you blameless spirit, soul, and body…

Wow, what a Word to cling to and not let go of.  This we’ll do by the power of His Spirit.
