He Meets Us At The Door of the Tabernacle

"This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee."  Exodus 29:42

Oh Jesus.  He is the offering of God forevermore.  All the sacrifices that were made in the Old Testament - all of them, if you piled them up and even if they mounted to the sky - it would pale to the beautiful and glorious Lamb that was given by God for us.

God took a long time to tell His story.  It's ALL His story.  He made it slow on purpose - so that the glory of His Son is perfectly revealed in order that we might fully believe.

Now in the Scripture above what captures my eye is this:  "The door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord:  where I will meet you, to speak there unto you."

It's time to get this straight.  Where is the tabernacle today?  In the heavens, not on earth.  Hebrews tells us this.

WHO is the High Priest now?  Jesus Christ, the King and Priest forevermore.  No more sacrifice of men, but God gave his OWN sacrifice for sins of mankind - His beautiful Son.

Paul was not writing a sweet story of imagination for us.  God revealed the TRUTH  to Him that we are SEATED with Christ in the heavenly places because and only because of His body and blood.

This is definitely why we have faith.  Faith in His name, in His cross, in  His work, in His resurrection, in the Word of Truth concerning Him, in the future glory coming with Him.

There is NO Law one could try to perform to make themselves right with God.  We all know this - BUT we still think by some deception there is.  God has called us to FAITH in HIS own work, not ours - to live a life of FAITH in and of the Son of Everlasting Life.  And His life will indeed bring true growth.

But here is what I love so much.  This Son of God who passed through the heavens, sits on high and is seated at the right Hand of God lives in us.  His Spirit keeps showing us the way of the Lord which is to abide in Him, abide above, abide in Truth and smack all those lies out of the way.

Truth of Him brings joy and peace.  Romans  15:13

Here is something else.  This communion and fellowship we have with the Lord and the Father - to go into the Holy of Holies and there with Him sit down and speak with the Lord, and He with us.

No wonder the devils fights to throw up all kinds of mists, clouds of confusion, arguments, worldly debates and ideas - or glittering neon lights to distract and disturb.  He doesn't want people to know WHO the Lord really is and what He has done.

So there He is, at the precious door of the Tabernacle in the heavens - waiting - waiting to take us into deep fellowship and communion with Himself and with the Father God.  And there we really "SEE."  I mean "SEE" with open and unveiled faces the glory of God.  II Corinthians 3:18

The Scriptures so prove that THIS is our inheritance and the goodness of our salvation.  But it is truly up to us to AVAIL ourselves - to believe and do it.  If we start with this which is the obedience of faith, then we shall know other things because we are knowing HIM.

The devil tries to distract me/us by using other people who want to speak against us in some way - big or small.  But guess what - it's not them.  It's exactly what Paul said in Ephesians.  Our war is NOT with flesh and blood BUT with principalities and powers in the heavenly places doing their poison work in minds.

Why?  Because they can use minds that are not renewed, have lack of experience in the Truth, ignorance or some other distraction of their own.

This is why Peter wrote that we are to be sober, vigilant - clear-minded, always, always, always finding our clarity in One Person - the Lord Himself.  And then Paul wrote, to put on the WHOLE armor of God that we might stay strong in Him and keep our minds and hearts stayed on HIM.

God is definitely for us all - all of His children.  And may He continue to work in the will of our souls and spirits to get us to listen - to get us to stop our own will and way and listen to HIM.

He is at the DOOR of the Tabernacle.  And when we REALLY hear Him, ALL of His children will be ashamed - ashamed that we keep falling for the devil's tricks and treats - WHEN HE HIMSELF is there to speak, to guide, to show, to strengthen, to fill us with the Spirit of the LIVING GOD in order that we might stay out of the world, the flesh and the devil ALL the time.

I am not speaking from some lofty place on earth - I really am saying exactly what God is saying: that we are ALL invited by God to the lofty place of the heavens in Christ Jesus.  But I cannot help it if others do not WANT or truly take their place with HIM.  I only pray that we ALL will come into the unity of the faith and the true knowledge of the  Son of God.

I love that place more than any place in this universe.  For to speak with the High Priest of Heaven and the Father God - to hope in Him, to really HEAR HIM, does my soul and my spirit so much good and really helps me pray for others the WAY HE wants me to pray for them.

Yes, everyone has a flesh.  And we can wallow in our flesh life (really flesh death) or get to know the Spirit LIFE we have been given.  It's simply a matter of turning back ALL of our eyes on Jesus Christ alone.

The devil still sifts like wheat today.  Do not think he doesn't because he does.  How does he sift?  Oh, a little thought here, too much work, too many people and their ideas, too much this or that.  Then we start "sucking" on his lollipops of whatever brand they are and forget to FEAST on the LIFE of the Son of God given for us.

We truly need to KNOW the Lord and live the life of FAITH He has called us to.  No matter what is going on right now - no matter what - if we will go back to the Scriptures and have the Holy Spirit teach us ALL things, we will be what God has called us to be in His Son.
