In reflecting on mankind and all the problems that exist in
this world, if you trace it all back to the root causes, it truly comes down to
only a couple of things: The lie versus
the truth and mankind's response to believing God or believing the devil.
We live in the 21st century and we've seen such an increase
of murder, diseases, mental distresses of all kinds, and most of all fear. Yes, there are more people on the planet, and
more ways to hear about all these things because of technology, but the same
problem has indeed been here since the beginning.
God has called Himself the Ancient of Days. He is and was before the world ever
began. Therefore Who He is has always
existed. If He had not made man and Adam had fallen, He would not have had to forgive
and pardon. Yet He Himself is and always
was love, peace, kindness, goodness, friendly, and the Creator.
Is there anyone who can explain God? You cannot take a course on Him and graduate
with a degree in all there is to know of Him.
His school primarily consists of those who come with an open
heart, a willing heart, and a yielded heart.
Inside our hearts are spiritual ears and eyes. To know God, according to His Word, requires
a relinquishment of our own ideas and projections upon Him.
We've all experienced projections from other human beings -
whatever they are thinking, they project on you as though they are making a
statement of who you are - when all it is a perception in their mind and
heart. Just because people agree
with each other, does not make it an
absolute. It always has to be tested by
one statement: "Is it the
truth?"
God says things like:
"I will show you, I will teach you, I will do it, I will make
known..."
I've always loved the song, "This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears - all nature sings and round me rings the music of the
spheres..." And in another verse it
says, "And although the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler
yet..."
Perhaps creatures would get along better on earth if we
truly knew God and learned to not project on Him or on others anything other
than the Truth. No one can really know
the Truth unless there genuinely is a yielded heart to the Spirit of God, Who
makes all things known only according to what is true.
I John 2:27 clears that up for sure: As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you,
and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you
about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you,
you abide in Him. Jesus
Christ said that He had no part with the evil one. He can only ever be true about all things.
What if you or I had been Adam or Eve in the garden? What does the Scriptures say of them? They walked with God in the cool of the
garden.
And then along came that old serpent, the devil - "Did
God really say?..." And what
happened? What the devil said became
convincing, something to consider, tempting to the eyes and ears.
Sin came. The mind
got twisted. Fear entered. Flesh began.
The cycle still exists.
God is Truth. The
Devil is a liar from the beginning, just like the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed.
Years ago before his death, my grandfather taped a message
for his 25 grandchildren. A smashing
statement he made was this: "The
devil's business is to make you believe a lie."
Now by God's matchless, marvelous grace we have God's Spirit
dwelling in our hearts to keep us from the lie and abiding in the TRUTH - Jesus
Christ, our Redeemer.
What a great Salvation - what a Savior and Lord.
In His Great Love,
Sue Gaither
