"If a person
loves Me, he will keep my Word; and My Father will love him, and WE will come
to him and make our home with him."
John 14:23
The greatest fact in the universe and on this planet
especially, is that God through Jesus Christ and His Spirit has come to dwell
in our hearts.
The reality of this is something the devil does not
want. If you think about it - all worry,
insecurities, fears, doubts, and the like come from not being secure and
perfected in God's Love.
"There is no
fear in love - but full-grown, perfect love turns fear out of doors - and
expels every trace of terror. For fear
brings with it the thought of punishment, and so he who is afraid has not
reached the full maturity of love - or rather, has not yet grown into Love's
complete perfection." I John 4:18
God has to work a reversal in us - making the things we do
NOT see more real (because they are) than the things we do see. God is the only One who is real. Our authenticity is coming from Him. As He works in our lives, we ourselves become
more real - the real that it is Him
.
Yesterday I was praying through some things and at the end
of the day, I received a true blessing/refreshment from the Lord.
I absolutely love pictures - and God gives me pictures in my
heart to "see." The picture I
had yesterday was Jesus Christ in our hearts.
He was raising His hands toward the Father in praise and thanksgiving
for us - He was praising God that He was living in our hearts. Jesus
Christ is really glad and rejoicing over us and that He is in us.
Then His Hands raised meant something else too.
He is holding us up by His great power, life, and
Person. We always think we are holding
Him up - like we bear the weight of the universe on our shoulders. No, this Great One living in our hearts is holding
up the whole universe by the Word of His power.
"And He Himself
existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (are held
together)." Colossians 1:17
This is why God says - look at His Son. The greater One does dwell in us forever.
"Little
children, you are of God (you belong to Him) and have defeated and overcome the
agents of the antichrist, because He Who Lives in you is greater (mightier)
than he who is in the world." I John 4:4
Discovering the greatness of the Lord in our hearts is God's
plan - for all of His children. And each
heart must discover Him, until we have inexpressible joy and are full of His
glory.
