Now that I’ve read this from Romans 5 which I am going to
share, I realize that we talk entirely too much about the fall – about flesh,
and NOT about the glories of Christ – of the abundant grace of God provided for
us in His Son nor about the GREAT SALVATION which God has provided.
So what did I read?
I am paraphrasing, but here it is: “The
free Gift is not at all like the one man’s offense (Adam’s) – for his offense
caused death to spread to ALL men. But
the free Gift is OUT OF ALL PROPORTION to the fall of man!”
Did we get that? Out of ALL proportion.
It means it cannot be compared nor measured. Romans 5 went on to talk about the EFFECT of the fall was not to be
compared with the grace of God in Christ Jesus.
I take that to mean what it infers – that the EFFECT of the grace of God in the face of Christ CANNOT or
SHOULD NOT be compared to the effect of the FALL through Adam.
What does this mean? It
means we need to get busy finding out the depths – the unfathomable riches of
God’s grace in His Son. His Son dwelling
in our hearts IS God’s grace and free gift.
Usually we talk about receiving Christ as a free gift, but then go on
living the rest of our lives out in some other mode other than grace through
faith in His Son and the hope of glory in Him alone.
THE WHOLE LIFE to be lived in Christ, through Christ and Him
through us is nothing but grace, His life, His Spirit and His work. God’s will is for us to DISCOVER the limitless, immeasurable, overflowing, abundant,
powerful, everlasting, powerful, all sufficient, all EVERYTHING Christ. Discovering is the same thing as finding
treasure upon treasure. And where is
this treasure?
“In Him are hidden
ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, both of the Father and of the Son!”
“Thank you, God so much that your great salvation is indeed
out of all proportion to the fall and its effect. Cause us to spiritually understand ALL that
is hidden in Christ and then thank you for working it out in and through our
very lives!”
All I can say now is AMEN!
